Sustainability
Driving responsible change from source to shelf through ethics, people and planet
Sustainability at cherryfield
CherryField’s ESG strategy focuses on integrating ethics, sustainability, and governance into their core operations and global supply chain. The framework prioritizes “source to shelf” change through three pillars: Environment, Social, and Governance. Key objectives include reducing GHG emissions, ensuring water stewardship, and eradicating modern slavery. Milestones like SBTi implementation and a new Supplier Code of Conduct underscore their commitment to resilience. Ultimately, the strategy aims for a circular economy where business, people, and planet thrive.
Environment
CherryField focuses on minimizing its ecological footprint by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and improving energy efficiency. The strategy emphasizes water stewardship, chemical management, and sourcing preferred fibers to enhance supply chain visibility and product sustainability
Social
Committed to upholding international labor standards, this pillar uses a risk-based approach to conduct due diligence across operations. It prioritizes eradicating modern slavery, ensuring fair labor practices, and promoting worker wellbeing from source to shelf.
Governance
This pillar establishes a robust internal structure by assigning accountability to key stakeholders and updating central policies. It focuses on upskilling global teams and supplier partners to ensure long-term ESG commitments are effectively implemented and monitored

Our milestone strategy timeline
Advanced Integration
Digital Product Passports (DPP): Full implementation of DPPs across all product lines to ensure 100% transparency from raw material to retail by 2027.
Supply Chain Decarbonization: Transition 50% of Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers to renewable energy sources.
Circular Business Models: Launch of first-scale commercial “Take-Back” and repair programs to extend garment life cycles
The Halving Decade
Carbon Reduction: Achieve a 50.4% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions (aligned with SBTi 1.5°C pathway).
Sustainable Materials: 100% of textile products to be made from “preferred fibers” (organic, recycled, or regenerative).
Water Neutrality: Reach “Water Neutral” status in high-stress manufacturing regions through advanced recycling and stewardship.
Zero Waste: Achieve zero waste to landfill across all global owned operations and key manufacturing partners.
Deep Decarbonization
Operational Net Zero: Achieve Net Zero emissions for Scope 1 and 2 by 2040.
Regenerative Supply Chain: Shift from “minimizing harm” to “restoring nature,” with 50% of natural fibers sourced from regenerative agriculture.
Fossil-Fuel Free: Complete elimination of coal and fossil-fuel-based heating in the entire Tier 1 supply chain
Full Value Chain Net Zero
Net Zero Carbon (NZC): Achieve at least a 90% absolute reduction across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
Neutralization: Permanently remove the remaining 10% of residual emissions through certified carbon removal projects.
Full Circularity: The business operates on a fully circular model where waste is designed out and all materials are continuously recycled.
